Wow, it's been a while!

Sorry it has been such a while since my last post. Things have been crazy busy around our house. Right now I am in Greeley, Colorado visiting my parents and having some fun times! Here are some photos of what I have been up to! Oh, and Saturday is Ashton's birthday so I made him a cake for a party here in Colorado.

He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
Today is a celebration of Christ Jesus' gift of service to mankind. It is easy to recognize and celebrate the 'gift' that was given, but I want to focus on the sacrifice of service that was offered willingly and selflessly. Being in ones service, or in servitude, is an act of lowering one's own status to exist below the status, needs, desires, or necessities of the one being served. Christ served us. He lowered himself to a status below us, mankind, to redeem us to sit at the right hand of His Father. How many of us would even consider offering one of our own favorite items to someone else just to make their life better? Thank You Jesus! Thank you God the Father! And Happy Easter everyone!

What to do on a day when there is rain, snow, sun, snow again, rain again, sun again, and then wind
Hi All Ya'all!
We had a freaky normal spring for Idaho! So many variations in the weather that the kids just didn't know what to do. We began our day with our friends at the park in the snow. It was a grand ole time until all of the kids began to freeze their little fingers and their snot began to drip to their knees. Gross, I know, but that is my life! We came back to the house and made lunch and took our 'Happy Naps'. It is amazing how 'happy naps' are so much better than regular old naps!
So, while the kids were 'happy napping', I began the great task of coupon clipping... Criminy! I hated it! But I did save some serious moola doing it, so, I guess I will continue.....I hit a couple of stores with my new found coupons and came home to make cookies with Bina. That was WAY more fun! She had such a good time rolling, cutting, baking, and decorating! She is my little Mini-Me!
Alright, now for the good stuff. If you haven't been here yet, go! This site is awesome! Thanks, K! http://sweetdeals4moms.blogspot.com

When you are called to serve............
I have been blessed with the gift of service and giving. Being able to fulfill these gifts to God's glory is a wonderful thing! But, I do find that I can overwhelm myself, especially when I allow my perfectionist side to appear.
Let me explain, today my day consisted of tending to my children, making crafts with my daughter, taking care of a sick sister, baking and delivering goodies for my church's youth group, preparing and delivering dinner for a dear family who are experiencing rough times, preparing dinner for my family, preparing goodies and a lesson for Easter Sunday children's church, cleaning the upstairs of my home, bathing the kids, starting laundry, and hopefully, tending to myself. Whew, needless to say, I'm pooped!
But, for all you busy people out there, here are some easy MICROWAVE peanut butter cookies!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
m&ms
Directions:
Make sure butter is softened. Then, put everything (except candy) in a bowl and mix/blend away! Dough will be a bit crumbly. Form balls and flatten slightly with palm of hand. Add your candy on top of each cookie. Place unbaked cookies on a microwavable dish (I used a glass pie pan). Make sure to leave space for cookie to spread. Place dish in microwave and cook on high for 2 minutes. Let cookies stand for 2 minutes and then move to cookie rack. Cookies will crisp as they cool. Repeat for additional cookies.
Simple and yummy! Enjoy!
