When you are called to serve............

I have been blessed with the gift of service and giving. Being able to fulfill these gifts to God's glory is a wonderful thing! But, I do find that I can overwhelm myself, especially when I allow my perfectionist side to appear.

Let me explain, today my day consisted of tending to my children, making crafts with my daughter, taking care of a sick sister, baking and delivering goodies for my church's youth group, preparing and delivering dinner for a dear family who are experiencing rough times, preparing dinner for my family, preparing goodies and a lesson for Easter Sunday children's church, cleaning the upstairs of my home, bathing the kids, starting laundry, and hopefully, tending to myself. Whew, needless to say, I'm pooped!

But, for all you busy people out there, here are some easy MICROWAVE peanut butter cookies!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
m&ms

Directions:
Make sure butter is softened. Then, put everything (except candy) in a bowl and mix/blend away! Dough will be a bit crumbly. Form balls and flatten slightly with palm of hand. Add your candy on top of each cookie. Place unbaked cookies on a microwavable dish (I used a glass pie pan). Make sure to leave space for cookie to spread. Place dish in microwave and cook on high for 2 minutes. Let cookies stand for 2 minutes and then move to cookie rack. Cookies will crisp as they cool. Repeat for additional cookies.

Simple and yummy! Enjoy!

Pirate hats!

Last night Sabine asked if today could be Pirate Day, and I said, "Sure!" We woke up and made Pirate Pancakes and Pirate Rings (Fruitloops) for breakfast and promptly began to make our Pirate Hats and Pirate Viewing Scopes. We wore them to my friend, Amy's, house and then headed to Fred Meyer to get the ingredients for a scrumptious pirate lunch. Who doesn't like 'octopuses'? Enjoy some of my pictures :)

An introduction to me

I have been married for almost 10 years and have two beautiful miracle babies, Sabine-4 and Ashton-23 months, who challenge and melt me at the same time. I live in Idaho and enjoy bike rides, church, baking, and chocolate. I am not creative or crafty, but find humor in my attempts. This is my life. I hope you laugh and enjoy my adventures as much I do!
